A Guide to Natural Dyes and the Art of Patchwork and Stitch

For the past year we have been working on producing and writing 'The Wild Dyer. We set out to create a book that would start your journey into the world of natural dyes and how to discover a colour palette local to you. Designed as a beginners guide, it teaches you the foundations of working with dye plants to produce simple and functional textiles for the home.

"Fabrics coloured using natural dyes have a beauty and subtlety of their own. In 'The Wild Dyer', Abigail Booth, co-founder of Forest + Found, demystifies the 'magic' of natural dyeing, focusing first on how to find your own dyeing materials, whether they are kitchen waste, homegrown or foraged plants, including onion and avocado skins, comfrey, blackberries, nettles and acorns. She then shows you how to use the results to stunning effect in a selection of exquisite patchwork and stitch projects that include a forager's bag, a gardener's smock, cushions and a reversible patchwork blanket."
